ERLAM STUDIO WISHES TO APPOINT A LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / SKILLED DESIGNER

Erlam Studio is a small and friendly award-winning Studio based in Bloomsbury, a few minutes walk from Kings Cross Station. We specialise in creating thoughtful, elegant landscapes which have a personal response to the site. Our work ranges from large country gardens to prestigious commercial projects, with many things in between. Our office and resources are shared with John Davies Landscape and over some years we have fostered an environment with a family feel and offers a vibrant, creative and supportive working experience.

YOUR ROLE

You will be part of a small team, contributing to all workflow stages from initial client briefings, through concept and detailed design to full realisation of projects including plant sourcing and site visits at all stages of build.

You will be curious and considered in your approach to design and you will enjoy taking on new challenges and exploring routes for success. You will be hard-working, intuitive, diligent and highly organised. You will be comfortable taking responsibility for your tasks and want to become an integral part of our team.  

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• An MA in Landscape Architecture or a diploma in Garden Design with two to five years post graduate work experience
• Proven ability to prepare drawing packages including detailed construction drawings in plan, section and elevation
• High level of ability in CAD – we use Vectorworks
• High level of ability in SketchUp to produce accurate 3d models and visuals
• High level of ability in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to manage projects and work closely with clients, consultants and contractors
• A passion for outdoor places, with a proven interest in plants and horticultural practice
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with a pro-active attitude to working independently or within a team
• Fluency in English language
• Eligibility to work in UK and possession of relevant Visas        

Salary: Negotiable - dependent on experience. The role is full time, to start immediately, although with some flexibility for the right person.
