We’re looking for talented Landscape Architects to join and help grow our Leeds Studio.
Urban Wilderness Ltd is a young and vibrant design consultancy. We are Landscape Architects, masterplanners and urban designers, we are horticulturalists, plantsmen, play designers, landscape strategists, visualisers, problem solvers and place-makers. We are a close-knit team that believes in sharing knowledge, working collaboratively and nurturing individual talent in order to promote the value of landscape. We are passionate about the importance landscape plays for our health and well-being, for our biodiversity and for its role in helping us develop climate resilience.
We offer a relaxed and friendly working environment across both our Sheffield and Leeds Studios, with members of the team working in close collaboration between the two. We are looking to grow our Leeds Studio which is located within a short walk from Leeds Central Rail Station and Leeds City Centre, and as such we are seeking Landscape Architects at all levels, albeit ideally with 2-3 years of industry experience. We are looking for Landscape Architects that are enthusiastic, friendly, motivated and well-organised. As importantly we are looking for Landscape Architects that have a voice and a desire to design and deliver great places. We seek to advocate change and need a team that will help us in this aim.
Candidates will be involved in all aspects of work, from concept design development and Landscape assessment to detailed design and masterplanning. We offer experience across a variety of sectors from residential and mixed use development, to care and health, schools and universities, nature reserves and farm diversification to urban regeneration.
Candidates will be expected to have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office alongside good report writing and communication skills. Expertise in GIS, Rhino and Lands Design would also be advantageous, as would a Full UK driving license.
We value our team. We offer a competitive salary with discretionary bonuses, a time off in lieu scheme, and a contributory pension. We are committed to assisting professional and personal development with mentorship within the business and support through the Pathway to Chartership. We place a significant emphasis on research and Continued Professional Development (CPD).
